All Things New
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
Most of us carry a short list of things about ourselves that have not changed in ten years, and we have stopped expecting them to. "Behold, I make all things new" is said by "he that sat upon the throne," and what lies in front of Him is "a new heaven and a new earth." The first ones have passed away, the holy city is coming down out of heaven, and God Himself is coming to live among His people.
Then He says to John, "Write: for these words are true and faithful." The reason given for writing them down is that they can be trusted. John is taking them down on the island of Patmos, an exile "for the word of God." One verse earlier the promise is at its plainest: "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain."
So your list is not too hard for Him. You live in a world God is making new, the making is His work, and He had it written down so that you could hold on to it.
